Cacao and Vanilla PPP

Using a value chain approach to reduce key chokepoints, the PISA Nord Cacao and Vanilla Project is a Public-Private Partnership between PISA and USAID, joined by LUSH Cosmetics and implemented by Papyrus. This project is very successfully increasing yields of cacao in the fields of nearly 900 farmers and introducing 100 ha of vanilla plantations to the cacao plots of model farmers in the north of Haiti.

Activities conducted under this partnership have resulted in record exports of high-quality cacao, initial exports of vanilla, and capacity strengthening of the producer associations.

The Haitian firm Produits des Isles S.A.(PISA) is the principal investor in this PPP.
